Pesto pasta

This is my quick-I'm-exhausted-and-everyone-is-starving-and-has-to-eat-now meal. Pesto pasta sauce from a jar and a salad. Unfortunately I tried a new brand of pesto which was awful... back to my Italian brand Barilla next time.

Pesto is one of my fav Summer dishes to make...I am about to harvest my basil and make a big batch. I will freeze a bunch for a nice taste of Summer this Winter.

You probably have a fabulous pesto recipe ~but if you need a "super-easy-blender-friendly" pesto recipe that freezes nicely I have one :op

1 1/2 cups fresh basil
3 - 4 cloves garlic
3/4 cups parmesan cheese
3/4 cups evoo
1/4 cup pine nuts (can substitute another type of nut)

Blend ingredients together in a blender or food processor until consistency of creamed butter.

thanks, I will make that... gotta plant some basil (of course HERE we're just starting to get our summer vegie patch ready!)
